These recordings include sounds from the Reverb Jam and from earlier test sessions. View videos of the Reverb Jam. The backwards recordings are particularly eerie because they enable you to hear the reverb, before you hear the sound that’s reverberating. It’s as though the musicians are sucking the notes out of the room. In the backwards waterphone, Sarah is the only instrumentalist in the room. No electronics are being used to enhance the sound. Similarly, on the backwards violin and ‘cello, Susannah and Stephen are the only musicians present.
