A live performance of my solo album Ealing Feeder, a steely and unsettling love letter to London, in this presentation from Art Assembly. Further details of the album release are coming soon.
Ealing Feeder is inspired by London. The city is a modern edifice on a medieval footprint – the blueprint for this album. Joined by percussionist Stephen Hiscock, I’ll be performing the album live using theremin, ancient instruments, electronics, percussion and a few of my robotic inventions. Tracks include Cow Heart Pin, inspired by a London butcher in the 1920s who impregnated a desiccated heart with nails to curse a rival; The Bows, which recalls a transfiguration myth on the River Neckinger; and Sky Bullion on the forces reshaping the city skyline today.
There’s a guest spot from Ian Rawes (aka London Sound Survey) who presents archival treasures in London’s Lost Worlds of Sound. DJ Special K also plays her favourite tracks, including some London-themed rarities.
