Using theremin, robotic carillon and other instruments, I’ll perform highlights from Ealing Feeder at this weekend curated by Bristol New Music.
This event is a two-hander with Tom Richards who recently built a mini Oramics machine, a drawn-sound synthesiser designed by electronic pioneer and BBC Radiophonic workshop co-founder Daphne Oram (1925-2003). Through his research into Oram and her machines, Tom built this unique and previously unfinished synthesiser from Oram’s original notes and diagrams. Tom and I will both perform our own graphic scores composed for mini Oramics – pieces we devised during a residency at Camden Arts Centre.
There will also be a drop-in event for families in the afternoon – see St George’s website for details.
Please note change of venue
This event has been moved from its original venue to The Arnolfini due to building works.
