Talk and short performance - exploring some unlikely affinities between sound making today and in the Victorian era

Time TBD
British Library 96 Euston Rd, London, NW1 2DB, UK

I’ll be giving a brief performance and talk on some unlikely affinities between sound making today and in the Victorian era. And in the foyer, I’ll be demonstrating voice recording on wax using an original Edison phonograph. Part of a day of research inspired by the British Library collections. The day includes a Data Giveaway where institutions can pick up hard drives packed with free digital content.
